I was born July 6th, 1990 in Linden, New jersey. but I didn’t start living until I’d turned 18, five months ago. that’s when I moved to Kansas City to do the One Thing Internship. Now, nearing the end of my time here, I’ve never been more alive. But there are only eight days left and I’m desperate to hold on to the changes I’ve made in myself here. Or more accurately, the changes the Lord has mad. I came here a bitter drug addict. I’m leaving as a close friend of God. I came here for one thing: Him. And I’m leaving with one thing.

Eight days is a short amount of time. It’s only a little more than a week. I’ve been here for 149 days. By the time I leave, it’ll be 157 days. Not quite half a year, eh? I’ll probably start packing tomorrow. After all, as of tomorrow, we’ve entered the final week. I know the schedule will be different and it takes a good amount of time to pack ones life away. Two days at least. My life for the past 5 months fits into one suitcase, a book bag and a purse. It doesn’t even sound do-able.

But I’ll be carrying everything of importance inside of me.
